Zanzibar - Coconuts on a stick

I haven't had the most glowing recommendations to impart about Zanzibar, but then I was reminded that it's because of the type of traveller I am. I love to explore and immerse myself in the culture, in short I'm not the greatest touristy tourist. With Zanzibar you need to be a little selective in where you explore. So, in short, if it's a fly and flop, resort-type of holiday you are after then Zanzibar is the place!
